In the process of the authorised search, at the premises of one of the express delivery services, law enforcement officers have detected almost 3.5 thousand liters of counterfeit alcohol of famous international brands.

On December 17 a consignment of counterfeit alcohol has been seized in Mohyliv-Podilskyi by joint interagency group  of operational staff of the Southern Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service and representatives of the fiscal service, under the procedural leadership of the prosecutor's office inVinnytsia oblast.

In the process of the authorised search, at the premises of one of the express delivery services, law enforcement officers have detected almost 3.5 thousand liters of counterfeit alcohol of famous international brands.

Alcohol of doubtful origin, packaged in 420 postal items, has been removed by the staff  of the State Fiscal Service in due course. The amount of counterfeit alcohol is estimated at 528 thousand hryvnias.

Measures are currently underway to identify those involved in the illegal sale of excisable goods and to clarify all the circumstances of the case.

It is worth noting that on December 11 in Mohyliv-Podilsk law enforcement authorities have also prevented the illegal distribution of 12 tons of counterfeit alcohol, which could be sent to different regions of Ukraine for the purpose of their sale through the Internet.
